Gateway of India is the landmark of Mumbai city and most of the tourists commence their trip by visiting this monument. It is situated on the waterfront in the southern part of the city. The gateway is an arch with a height of 26 meters and is made up of yellow basalt and reinforced concrete. Gateway of India is an architectural marvel and belongs to Indo-Saracenic architectural style, with some elements derived from the Muslim architectural styles of the 16th century Gujarat.

On the Western side of the top of Malabar Hills, opposite the Kamala Nehru park, lies the hanging gardens or the terraced gardens. Also called the Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens, this is a beautiful place to experience the sunset across the horizon of the Arabian Sea. These are called hanging gardens because they are located on the slope of a hill.
A unique feature of the Hanging Gardens is that the hedges are cut in shapes of different animals. Apart from that, there is a beautiful flower clock in the Hanging Gardens which also attracts a lot of people

Marine Drive is a 3-kilometre-long boulevard in South Mumbai in the city of Mumbai. It is a 'C'-shaped six-lane concrete road along the coast, which is a natural bay. The road links Nariman Point to Babulnath and Malabar Hill. Marine Drive is situated over reclaimed land facing west-south-west. The bay is part of the Arabian Sea.

Victoria Terminus was opened on January 1st, 1882 as the main railway station of Mumbai. Designed by F.W. Stevens, this Gothic building facial appearance carvings of peacocks, gargoyles, monkeys, and lions. Domes, turrets, spires and stained glass windows are other architectural items of note. The technique of the Victoria Terminus is more like a house of worship than a railway station.

Malabar Hill is a small hill in South Mumbai that is quarters to the famous Hanging Gardens, Walkeshwar Temple and Kamala Nehru Gardens of the Dream City of India. In fact, it is the highest point in the city center, with a height of 50 meters, presenting an eye-catching view of the county that sprawls at the foothills. The region nearby is known as Malabar Hill and it is counted amongst the elite residential areas of Bombay.

Juhu beach is one of the attractive beaches of Mumbai. This flat beach is located almost at center of the Mumbai town. There are many hotels located by the side of this beach and many have restaurants having sea view and one can get coffee here in all the times through out the day.

Elephanta caves are carved out of rock. There are columns, internal spaces and images within these temples. The entire temple is related to a large sculpture. In fact one can walk through the corridors and chambers of this sculptured temple. Created through a process of rock removal, the entire complex is an interesting monument. Some of the rock surfaces here are finely finished whereas some are unfinished bare rock.
There are three entrances to the temple. The eastern and the western entrances mark the axis of the temple. There is a 20 pillared hall that lines the axis, and on its western end is a cell in which a Shivalingam enshrined.

Honoring the Muslim saint Haji Ali, Haji Ali Mosque, Mumbai was built in the middle of the sea with only a narrow path leading to it giving it an ethereal look. As per the Muslim traditions separate praying rooms for ladies and gents are provided here to pay their respects. It is set 500 yards into the sea and can be reached only in low tide. The Haji Ali mausoleum has an offshore location, opposite the Mahalakshmi racecourse. During high tide, the connecting causeway is submerged in water giving the impression that the mosque and tomb are floating out at sea in splendid isolation.

Prince of Wales Museum, named after Prince George (Later George V) who visited India in 1905 and laid the foundation stone of the building.The Prince of Wales Museum or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya has an architecture exhibiting Indo-Saracenic style with an imposing white dome adding to its grandeur. As one of the best museums in India, the Prince of Wales Museum has three main sections: Art, Archaeology and Natural History.

Mani Bhavan is a veritable memoir of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. It is located at Laburnam Road in Mumbai, near Nana Chowk of Gamdevi. Also known as Gandhi Museum, Mani Bhavan served as the residence of the great freedom fighter of India between 1917 and 1934.
